My Story

I am a trained actor and musician who has worked in performance, facilitation and arts education for over 13 years. With a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Brown University and a Music Theatre Performance diploma from Sheridan College, I studied speech and voice, movement, creative ensemble, Alexandre technique, clown, and more with some of the most respected instructors in the world.

As the winner of CBC’s Triple Sensation, I was chosen from thousands of hopefuls by a team of world-renowned artists and instructors (including Patsy Rodenburg, Larry Moss and the dearly departed Marvin Hamlisch). A nationally recognized talent, I have performed, taught and facilitated in New York City, Toronto, Halifax, Calgary, and elsewhere.

My passion for community, creation, empowerment, and embodied knowledge and practice informs everything that I do. It has inspired me to create, lead and participate in many diverse projects. Devised theatre as an empowerment tool for youth to use artistic expression for social change. Street-clowning as a disarming community engagement tactic. Embodied learning as a technique for deepening spiritual exploration.

I have two beautiful little boys, who inspire and challenge me, and a deeply supportive husband, who encourages and centres me.
